South Korea has surpassed a new milestone, with over 2.46 million foreign residents, accounting for 5% of the overall population. This considerable growth is mostly due to the increasing number of overseas students and immigrants.
Gyeonggido province has the biggest number of foreign inhabitants (809,801), followed by Seoul Metropolitan and Gyeongsang. The influx of foreign residents demonstrates Korea’s expanding worldwide impact and dedication to cultivating a multicultural society.
To better meet the demands of its varied people, the South Korean government is pursuing a variety of projects and regulations. These activities are aimed at making the community more inclusive and welcoming to all residents.
